Only have time to read one book and you want to change your consciousness?

The book should be Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth Awakening to Your Life's Purpose"

According to my spiritual teacher if you only want to own or read one book on this subject then this is the book to get. It is presently the subject of Oprah's Book Club and an ongoing class at Unity Church by the Shore at 3508 Asbury Avenue, Neptune, N.J. on Thursdays from 1 to 3 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. call the church for more info 732-918-3395.
It is certainly understandable why they picked this book. The book deals with the demands of the Ego and how our need for constant reinforcement by people, places and things cuts our energy with the source of all life and in doing so also cuts our creativity.

What the author is saying throughout the book is that our consciousness creates our world. So if we want our world changed we must change our consciousness. In other words if you want a better group of friends, a better job, improved relationships or whatever it may be you must understand the structure of your own ego and its needs and the destruction it causes in you. The book also explains, once again another book telling us the same story, that our external surroundings, in other words our life is merely a reflection of our internal consciousness. If you are interested in your life's purpose take time and read this book. You will be glad you did.
