This is the week of the new Moon so prepare to start anything you have been putting off until a better day, the day has arrived. Best day could well be Halloween when the Moon is in Sagittarius and Mars will trine Uranus in the late afternoon. Election Day will see little action in the skies since the Moon will be Void of Course from 1:47 A.M until 7:01 P.M. so those voting after 7 P.M. will have a clearer head then earlier voters. Mars will square Neptune creating plenty of confusion and drama at the polls. Full Moon isn’t until November 13. So expect an even wilder time next week.

Capricorn is a solid, deep, powerful sign and anyone born this week certainly feels the urge towards power. A fine example is the wife of President elect Barack Obama. She is a driven woman, a well trained attorney who knows how to organize and get things done. That is the birth right of a Capricorn. Leadership.
Because the ruler ship of Capricorn is Saturn there is often the tendency to be morose or moody when there is no power. To keep this Saturn ruled sign happy let them be in charge. Give them plenty to do and offer them a top role. Since they are well versed in leadership even as children you can trust they will try and do the very best job. There are very few Capricorn people who do not feel they could do the boss’ job. Now that Pluto is in Capricorn these people feel the urge for power even more. When you are dealing with a Capricorn you are dealing with someone interested in power.
How they get that power remains to be seen. Nixon was a Capricorn, so was Elvis and Martin Luther King, Jr.

Heavenly Influences

       In January 2009 the Full Moon in Cancer will be on January 10 and it promises to be an emotional time since Cancer is always emotional. So be warned this coming week will be one of emotionalism unless you and your friends have life under total control. And since very few of us have that ability yet, watch your temper, driving and the words you speak. The new Moon will be on January 26 and will be a Solar Eclipse. Just look back at the events of six months ago and if they were not handled well, the very same stuff will be back to haunt you. Otherwise this should be perfect month in the chilly northeast of the US.
Mercury goes retrograde on Sunday, January 11 at 11:41 A.M. and stays retro until Sunday, February 1. You have enough warning to plan around it.

ARIES (March 21 to April 20)  With the stars beaming down from the winter skies right now you would have to live in outer space to miss the opportunities coming your way. Don‘t let anyone fool you into thinking this is not your time of life. You are on the right pathway and should stay there as long as possible. Stop listening to people who don‘t understand you.

TAURUS (April 21 to May 20)    Your mind should be working overtime now and if it isn’t it could be because you are hanging out with the wrong people. A mere change in the pals could bring you into a totally new phase of your life. With the heavens totally on your side now make some quick moves.

GEMINI (May 21 to June 20)  This is a time to sort out your life and discover once and for all what really matters to you. Then stay on the same track as 2009 opens up and you head off in a new direction. You need to steer clear of the nonsense that often bogs you down. Once you do that there will be no stopping you.  

CANCER (June 21 to July 20)   Your goal for 2009 should be to stop taking everything so personally. This mode of operation is costing you in time, energy and money. You can’t afford to pay attention to what others do or say. You have your own path and need to focus on it now. Stop playing hanging out with people who play games.

LEO (July 21 to August 20)  The drama of life will cool off this week if you just ease up on your demands and let life just happened as it does. Try living in the “now.“ Get a copy of the “New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle and give yourself a new view on life. It will change your entire attitude which is just what you need.

VIRGO (August 21 to September 20) Playing games will not be your style in 2009 so get ready for a few cross words between friends and then let the entire past go. You need a new game plan and part of it includes letting to of some negative attitudes and people. Do that and there will be no stopping you.   

LIBRA (September 21 to October 20)  You have a goal for 2009 and don’t let anyone distract you from it. Any ambivalence you feel should be ignored and just push yourself into a new lifestyle. You will love it and making new friends is exactly what you need now. Grab any new tricks that could be passing you by and run with them.

SCORPIO (October 21 to November 20)   It is time to stand up and be counted. No more letting life pass you by because you won’t say how you feel. Get your feelings out there and let people know exactly what you expect and then produce. You can really enjoy 2009 if you just avoid your usual distractions.

SAGITTARIUS (November 21 to December 20)   You are entering a period of exploring your usual behavior and making a few minor changes. Once the changes are made you will start feeling totally different and certainly more in need of a few more meaningful relationships. So be prepared to let go of past behavior which isn’t paying off.

CAPRICORN (December 21 to January 20)  Mars remains in Capricorn and so it would be wise to keep full control of your temper. You are not the kind of person who likes anyone else to have the power. So just watch yourself right now and if necessary say “I’m sorry” instead of offering any kind of self defense. Try and remember your turn is just around the corner.

AQUARIUS (January 21 to February 20)  Sometimes being wrong is fine. It teaches humility and anyone can use a little of that. Let your spiritual side take over now and keep yourself out of the limelight whenever possible and you will feel 100 percent better about who you are and who you are trying to be. Let others shine and in that way you will really be learning a life  

PISCES (February 21 to March 20)  You should try to stabilize your goals now and avoid bouncing from one thing to another. It will be a challenge since Uranus is still moving through Pisces, but you can accomplish what you set out to do now. And settling down a little is just perfect this week.
